Entrepreneurship Development Awareness Camp at HMV



A three day EDII sponsored Entrepreneurship Development Awareness Camp organised by Career Counselling Cell and Commerce Club under DST – NIMAT Project ended with the Valedictory Session at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen, Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur (Dean Academics), Event Coordinators Mrs. Binoo Gupta and Dr. Harpreet Singh presented green welcome to the resource persons Mr. Amit Tuteja MD, Connecting Dreams, New Delhi, Ms. Madhavi Dhall, winner of Young Women Entrepreneur of Punjab 2019, Ms. Archie Sehgal & Ms. Kanika Chadha. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen said that the college provides you roadmap alongwith facilities for transformation of your dreams into reality. She motivated students to start new business setups as they possess the capabilities to be a successful entrepreneurs. She also encouraged EDC and Commerce Club to organize such activities in future too.   
In Technical Session I, Mr. Amit Tuteja, Scientist & Social Entrepreneur discussed about social entrepreneurship by focusing on business in rural areas. He told that how he managed and solved problems of the villagers while doing his business. He encouraged the students to become entrepreneurs by telling a quote “Help others to connect dreams and you will create yours.”
In Technical session II, some successful women entrepreneurs, Alumnae of the college Ms. Kanika Chadha, Director of operations-The changed you, Ms. Madhavi Dhall, owner of Premier Webtech Company and Sai Immigration & Ms. Archie Sehgal, MD Cynosure School shared their success stories & motivated the students to dream, aspire & achieve.
Valedictory address was given by Mr. Amit Tuteja. He awarded cash prize of 1000/- to Km. Nitika for best response in interactive session. Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Binoo Gupta. She said that basic purpose of this camp was to provide a platform and guidance to the students so that they can convert their unique ideas into the successful ventures.
 On day 2, students were taken to two industrial visits. First visit was taken to Raj Dari Factory, Nakodar in which  students witnessed that due to changing world, demand of Dari is declining and they suggested to add some art work in Daris to increase its sale. Second industrial visit was to Sporting Syndicate Pvt. Ltd., Jalandhar where students learned about hand made & machine made procedures of making footballs and soccers balls. Dr. Bhuvnesh Srivastava, Manager BIRAC, New Delhi told in his online interactive session that BIRAC is giving 48 govt. funded incubation schemes to promote entrepreneurship. Mr. Pranay Sehgal, CEO Jai Ambay Enterprises Jalandhar listed among top 100 seller list on Amazon and listed first among luggage category with his brand Polestar. He emphasized that for effective entrepreneurship there should be idea screening, SWOT analysis & Business planning. On this occasion Dr. Ekta Khosla, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Mr. Gullagong, Mrs. Kajal Puri, Mr. Sumit Sharma, Dr. Minakshi Duggal, Mrs. Kanika & Mrs. Bhawna were present.
