Garbed in their best the peppy
students added colour and vibrancy to the Fiesta-The Trade Fair 2020 organized
at HMV under the inspiring guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.
The event was graced by Dr. Ramesh K. Arya, Vice President, DAVCMC, New Delhi as the Chief
Guest and IAS Sh. Varinder Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar as the
Guest of Honour. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen cordially welcomed them
by presenting planters. Esteemed members of the LC Dr. Pawan Gupta, Sh. Kundan
Lal, Sh. S.P. Sehdev, Principal Dr. S.K. Arora, Principal Sh. Naresh, Mrs.
Nirmal Dhawan and Sh. Ashok Sareen were welcomed and presented planters by Mrs.
Navroop, Dean youth welfare and Incharge of the event along with Mrs. Meenu
Kohli, Co-Dean Youth Welfare & Incharge Trade Fair. The event began with
the Mangal Tilak and lighting of the lamp.
The gratified host Dr. Ajay
Sareen formally extended a warm welcome to the respected guests of the day and
prayed to the Almighty to keep its blessed hand on the institution. She hoped
that with the support of DAVCMC and efforts of dedicated faculty and students,
HMV will reach the pinnacle of its glory. Unfolding the aim behind the trade
fair she said that it provides a real life experience to the commerce students
and provide them practical skills to enter the competitive market.
DC Jalandhar Sh. Varinder Kumar
Sharma congratulated the institution on organizing the festive day in the month
of spring reciprocating its aura and excitement. He said that HMV is spreading
the light of knowledge from the last 94 years and has contributed tremendously
towards women education. He expressed his thanks to the institution for hosting
their official events and felt proud to be the guest of the event.
In his address Dr. Ramesh Arya
acknowledged HMV as an amazingly unique college pacing steadily to achieve the grandeur
and status of world renowned institutions. The fete was declared open by
releasing colourful balloons into the air. The audience enjoyed the
enthusiastic dance performances and modelling show along with baby show. The
enigma of the festive fervor was enhanced with the presence of eminent singer
Harvy Sandhu who recited melodious numbers to enthrall the audience. The trade
fair was adorned with a number of stalls including Handicrafts, Apparel,
Jewellery, Grooming stations, Education Hub, Selfie corner, supplemented with
eatables.

session Sh. B.K. Mittal (Secretary,
DAVCMC, New Delhi )
and revered Mrs. Asha Mittal were extended a green welcome by Principal Prof. Dr.
(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The presence of Harby Sangha brought more charm to the
evening. Dr. B.K. Mittal blessed and congratulated the HMV family for the
event. The distinguished names of Dr. Anoop Vats and Madam Vats, Sh. Kulwinder
Dhillon, Raj Jannat, Sh. Rajbir Malhi, Talwinder Dayalpuri, Mrs. Rajiv Bharti
and Principal Ravi were included in the list of guests. The raffle draw was held digitally and the
winners were given the prizes. Towards the end the whole organizing committee
including Mrs. Navroop, Mrs. Meenu Kohli, Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, Mrs. Veena Arora,
Mrs. Rama Sharma, Mrs. Savita, Mrs. Kajal Puri, Mrs. Poornima. Dr. Rakhi Mehta,
Mr. Amarjeet Khanna, Mr. Raman Behl and Mr. Lakhwinder Singh were congratulated
for the success of the Fiesta. The stage was hosted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.
