The students of HMV collegiate Sr. Sec. school
participated in 10th IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad) which
was organized by Science Olympiad foundation , New Delhi in collaboration with
British Council. Students of SSC-1 and SSC-2 participated in first level
examination . In this competition Riya Sharma of SSC-1(Arts) won gold medal .
From SSC-2 (Arts) ,Tarunika Rampal won gold medal . Principal Prof. Dr.(Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen congratulated and awarded the students with certificates and medals
. She also motivated the students to continue their efforts and become a keen
observer in the field of mathematics. School coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal
laid emphasis on the fact that the mathematics Olympiad is a scholastic
aptitude competition which provides the platform for identifying and nurturing
student’s mathematical creativity at
school level. She also encouraged the winners to work with commitment. The exam
was conducted by Ms. Preety Rawat from Maths department.
