94th Foundation Day of HMV celebrated virtually with full fervour




Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated its 94th Foundation Day virtually with full fervour and enthusiasm. An Online meeting was scheduled with Director Higher Education DAVCMC Sh. Shiv Raman Gaur, IAS(Retd.), Chairman Local Committee Justice (Retd.) N.K. Sud, Members Local Committee Sh. Ashok Paruthi, Sh. Inderjit Talwar Sh. Ajay Goswami, Sh. S.P. Sehdev, Dr. Pawan Gupta, Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, all the Deans, Heads of the Departments and Non-teaching staff and supporting staff members. It was a virtual celebration. Dr. Anjana Bhatia hosted the celebration. Principal Prof. Dr. Ajay Sareen welcomed all in the celebration. She said that DAV institutions have always stood with the nation in tough times. On our Foundation Day, we are following the same tradition by supplying food, masks and sanitizers to the needy people. Every institution is started with a vision. Our vision is to empower women and the name of HMV is written in golden words in this context. Our Alumni are spread across the globe on fulfilling their responsibilities. We are successful in completing the vision of our leaders. DAV institutions have always been successful in giving a good mental state to the youth of the nation. Today we are celebrating this day with the slogan “Our World, Our Responsibility”. We are taking a pledge to provide food, soap and sanitizers to the needy people.
President DAVCMC Padamshree Dr. Punam Suri congratulated the Principal and staff members of the college through his video message. He prayed to the almighty to show the path of humanity. He said that HMV is fulfilling its vision of empowering women. In this pandemic situation, HMV is the first institution to start online classes for the students. HMV is providing help to the needy people. Helping needy is the real celebration of Foundation Day.
Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, Associate Professor in Punjabi, recited a poem. Director Higher Education DAVCMC, Sh. Shiv Raman Gaur, IAS (Retd.) said that it is a moment of proud that in this lockdown, we are virtually celebrating this day. We will be setting a new milestone with virtual celebration. He gave his best wishes for the times to come. He said that for HMV, the spirit of nationalism is very important.
Joint Head Girl Ms. Muskan Virdi recited a poem written by alumni Ms. Shipra. Head Girl of the college Ms. Parneet Kaur took an oath to serve the nation on behalf of all the students of the college. Chairman Local Committee Retd. Justice Sh. N.K. Sud gave vote of thanks. He said that all the faculty and staff members have contributed a lot for the success of this institution. Under the leadership of Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen the college has achieved newer heights. He gave his blessings to the institution.
