Yoga Day was celebrated by Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya on virtual platform
with a motto “Yoga for Health-Yoga at Home”.
In this pandemic, Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen always encourages
people to remain calm and mentally stable so that we will remain healthy in
this critical situation. Principal Prof. Dr. Ajay Sareen, members of local
committee, faculty members, non-teaching staff, supporting staff members and
students of the college performed different Asans of yoga as per the guidance
of Yog Guru Pawan Sharma. The celebration started with Gayatri Mantra.
President DAV College Managing Committee Dr. Punam Suri, Padmashree Awardee sent
his message to the college staff members and students through a video. He said
that in order to remain healthy and far from diseases, we should do yoga
everyday. Yoga connects us with ancient wisdom. It is necessary for harmony and
peace. Principal Prof. Dr. Sareen said that yoga maintains our mental balance.
Yoga connects us with inner peace. She prayed to almighty for everyone’s bright
future. Vice President DAVCMC and Member Local Committee Dr. Ramesh K. Arya
said that along with a healthy body, we should keep our mental state healthy
and happy. Expert Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Head of Psychology department of HMV said
that happiness and peace is very important for inner peace and stability. She
gave some tips to remain stress free during COVID-19. Yog Guru Pawan Sharma
said that the whole world is learning Yoga from India. Yoga is the only remedy
which can keep our body and mind healthy and happy. He made the participants do
various Yoga Asans at their home only. Local Committee member Sh. Kundan Lal
Aggarwal also addressed the participants and congratulated HMV for organizing
Yoga day celebration, which is the need of the hour in the times of Corona
pandemic. Principal Dr. Sareen thanked all the Local Committee members and HMV
staff members for becoming a part of this virtual celebration. Local Committee
members Sh. Ajay Goswami, Sh. Inderjit Talwar, Dr. Sushma Chopra, Dr. Sushma
Chawla, Dr. Pawan Gupta were present during the celebration on Zoom platform.
The ceremony was moderated by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.
