It is a matter of immense
pride that Riya Sharma of SSC-2 (Arts) of HMV Collegiate Sr. Secondary School has
won consolation prize in the massive online competition “Ambassadors of Hope”
launched by honorable Education Minister of Punjab Sri. Vijay Inder Singla. She
has won Consolation Prize amongst first 1000 participants. Around 18 lakh
students from all over Punjab participated in this competition. Riya Sharma
sang a song in her soulful voice with beautiful lyrics “Samarpan ko tere pranam,
mamta ka hai tu duja naam” which she dedicated to the doctors, nurses, police
and all the frontline corona warriors. The contest was organized with the an
aim to engage students in constructive activities in which students submitted a wide range of videos in the form of songs,
dance performance, poems, acting, speeches, etc. The contest got overwhelming
response from students all over the state. All other students who participated
have also got e- certificates of participation. On this occasion, school
coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal congratulated Riya Sharma and the other
students who participated in this event. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen appreciated the
initiative taken by the students and emerging triumphantly. She also motivated
students to participate in such competitions to develop confidence and gain
unique experience.
