Hindi and Sanskrit departments of HMV jointly organized International webinar

 

The Hindi and Sanskrit departments of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya jointly organized international webinar on the topic “The Future of Hindi and Sanskrit in global perspective” under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen. Webinar series Coordinator Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda gave a brief introduction of the webinar and its resource persons. She congratulated both the departments for organizing such webinar. She said that this webinar is a source of knowledge in times of pandemic. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen also welcomed all the resource persons and participants. She said that today’s topic is very sensitive. No language is competitive of the other language. Sanskrit remained our basic language but from the last many years, it is not getting that much recognition. DAV organization has always contributed in the widely spreading Sanskrit language. In the annual planner of HMV, every year, Shalokas in Sanskrit language are published with their meanings in Hindi so that the reader can understand its meaning. The resource persons of the webinar were Prof. Dr. Anandvardhan, Sophia University, Bulgaria, Dr. Ajay Sharma, renowned writer, Dr. Lakshman Prasad Gupta, Allahabad University, Uttar Pradesh and Dr. Rishiraj, Sanskrit Department, Shayama Prasad Mukherjii College, Delhi University. Webinar coordinator was Dr. Jyoti Gogia, HOD, Hindi Department and Co-ordinator was Dr. Meenu Talwar, HOD, Sanskrit Department. Dr. Anandvardhan said that Hindi has unlimited scope. In the field of media, Hindi has a lot of scope. Dr. Ajay Sharma said that being Indian, it is our prime duty to spread Hindi all across the globe. Educational institutes should start some courses of translation so that translation work gets promoted. Dr. Lakshman Prasad Gupta said that Hindi has a wide spread market. Dr. Rishiraj said that Hindi and Sanskrit should be promoted simultaneously. Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur, Coordinator IQAC also congratulated the organizers. The webinar was moderated by Dr. Jyoti Gogia. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Meenu Talwar. On this occasion, Mrs. Pawan Kumari and Dr. Deepti Dhir were also present.
