HMV organised a webinar on the occasion of Hindi Divas and Death anniversary of Yug Purush Guru Virjanand ji

 

The PG department of Hindi and Department of Sanskrit organised a webinar on the occasion of Hindi Divas and Death anniversary of Yug Purush Guru Virjanand ji. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed the resource persons, participants and congratulated all on the occasion of Hindi Divas. She said that Hindi has become a Global Language now while English is trying to become local. She paid tribute to Guru Virjanand ji and said that each one of us should adopt his qualities in life. The chief guest of the webinar was Sh. Mukesh Sharma, President, Vishv Bhasha Academy, India. He encouraged all the participants to adopt Hindi Language in day to day working. The main speaker of the webinar was Dr. Rishi Raj Pathak, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College, Delhi University. He talked about the life of Guru Virjanand Ji and told about his contribution in society. During the webinar, Dr. Antra Karwade, Dr. Angha Joglekar, Simar Sadosh, Divya Sharma, Dr. Vasudha Gadgil, Dr. Jyoti Gogia and others presented their short stories. This short story recitation was organised in collaboration with Vishv Bhasha Academy. This organisation is working in India, New Zealand and Australia. A signature campaign in Hindi was also initiated in which hundreds of people put their signatures in Hindi. A PPT prepared by students of Hindi department was also shown. Dr. Meenu Talwar presented vote of thanks. On this occasion, Mrs. Pawan Kumari and Dr. Deepti Dhir were also present. The moderator of the webinar was Dr. Jyoti Gogia.
