Student Council of HMV online celebrated
Teacher’s Day
Teachers
illuminate the world by disseminating the light of knowledge and dispel the
darkness of ignorance engulfing the young minds. The devout mission initiated
by Swami Dayanand Saraswati was further ennobled and sparked an ember of
inspiration when the foundation stone of HMV was laid down by Dr. S.
Radhakrishnan who is acknowledged as a teacher par excellence and a bridge
builder between the east and the west. It is with these pious thoughts that the
teaching fraternity of HMV pace steadily under the visionary guidance of
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Grabbing the opportunity to convey
thanks to their teachers, though not in person but on the digital platform, the
students under the banner of Student Council, headed by Mrs. Urvashi, organized
an entrancing event Jashn-e- Ustaad on Teachers’ Day.
Beginning
with the holy lighting of lamp, the students expressed their gratitude towards
their mentors in the form of presentations, poems, dances and speeches and
giving them amazing moments to cherish. Lauding the efforts put up by the
Student Council, Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen conveyed the blessings of
Padamshree Awardee Dr. Punam Suri, President DAVCMC on the occasion. She felt
proud that the institution carries the physical imprints of Dr. S.
Radhakrishnan which has always motivated them to achieve the acme of success.
She also expressed her thanks to all the great educators who have contributed
to the success of the institution during its journey of 94 years. Talking about the challenges faced by the
education system in the current scenario she emphasized that it comes as an
added responsibility on the part of the teachers to be the beacons of light and
liberate the lives from darkness. Their role is not confined to just imparting
knowledge but to act like counsellors, guide and friends to the students along
with maintaining the dignity of their position. She prayed to the Almighty to
break the shackles of Covid-19 so that the campus blooms with life and energy
again.
The
event was handled by Gurkeerat, Ranchna, Praneet and Mansi with the support of
JyotSifat, Kumakshi, Palak and Vani. The coordinator of the event was Mr.
Pradeep Mehta and co-cordinators were Mrs. Savita, Dr. Nitika and Mrs. Jyotika.
