Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised a webinar on the occasion of World
Mental Health Day under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay
Sareen. As per the instructions of DPI Colleges, Punjab the college is
organising a series of webinars on the occasion of 400th Birth
Anniversary of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji under the guidance of Mrs. Navroop
Kaur, Head Punjabi department. The main speaker of this webinar was Dr.
Davinder Singh Johal, Head, Psychology Department, Guru Nanak Dev University,
Amritsar. Principal Prof. Dr. Sareen welcomed him and gave a very positive
message to be aware regarding mental health. She said that if we fulfil our
responsibilities with interest, only then we will remain mentally healthy. Dr.
Johal shared his views with reference to Gurbani. He said we should always take
encouragement from our holy scriptures in order to keep our mind happy and healthy.
Good health and positive thoughts are the food for mind. Head Psychology Department
Dr. Ashmeen Kaur thanked him and said that the theories of Gurbani, i.e. Naam
Japo, Vand Chhako, Keert Karo, are the basis of mental satisfaction and good
health. She said that we should have positive thinking and progressive
attitude. The moderator of the webinar was Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, Associate Prof.
Punjabi. This webinar was attended by many teachers and students of various
colleges.
