To enhance students’ interest and to
enable them to familiarize with the use of print and electronic media, a guest
lecture on the topic “Optimum use of Print and Electronic Media” was organized
by HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School under the able guidance of Principal Prof.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Ms. Ramanpreet, CEO, Shamsheer School of Media Arts,
Jalandhar was the resource person of the event. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen
extended formal welcome to the guest. She mentioned that students should follow
the footsteps of such a renowned personality so that they can also feel the
pleasure of success when their signatures will be changed into autographs.
Resource Person Ms. Ramanpreet in her address talked about various aspects of
Journalism i.e. print media and stressed on the need to set a goal before
pursuing career and encouraged students to explore themselves and know about
their real potential while deciding their career options. Vote of thanks was
accorded by school coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Syal and also said that students
should be fair and truthful while they will become a journalist in future and
should focus on presenting the real and true picture of whatever is happening
around and in the world.
