The NSS Unit of Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya observed “Communal Harmony Campaign Week” under the able guidance of
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen as per the guidelines of National
Foundation for Communal Harmony, Home Ministry, Govt. of India, NSS Volunteers
participated in various competitions during this week long observance and
expressed their views on it. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen encouraged
NSS unit for such a great work and said that in order to maintain peace and
harmony in our country, young generation should be made aware. Such campaigns
can change the thinking of the youth and will help in the foundation of united
society. She encouraged the volunteers to take part in competitions with
enthusiasm. NSS Programme Officers Mrs. Veena Arora and Dr. Anjana Bhatia also
encouraged the volunteers. On this occasion, Essay Writing and Painting
Competitions were organized on the topic “Communal Harmony”. In Essay Writing
Competition Km. Manpreet stood 1st, Km. Khushdeep Kaur stood 2nd
& Km. Priya Sharma stood 3rd. In Painting Competition, Km.
Akshreeti got 1st, Km. Sumandeep got 2nd, Km. Garima
& Km. Neha Luthra got 3rd Prize. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen congratulated all the winners.
On this occasion, Flag stickers were also
distributed among volunteers. Ms. Harmanu, Mrs. Pawan Kumari and Dr. Meenu
Talwar also appreciated the efforts of NSS Volunteers.
