Writers’ Conclave-2021 organized at HMV
PG Department of Mass Communication and Video Production
along with HMV Alumnae Welfare Association organized Writers’ Conclave 2021 to
stimulate young writers under the sagacious guidance of Principal Prof. Dr.
(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The occasion witnessed the presence of Mrs. Sarvinder Kaur,
President HMV Alumnae Welfare Association and Chief Executive Ajit Newspaper
Groups, eminent writers, Mr. Des Raj Kali, Mrs. Preet Inder Dhillon and Media
Strategist Mr. Naveen Sharma. The guests were accorded green and warm welcome
by Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen.
The conclave commenced with the recital of DAV Gaan and
lighting of the lamp as per tradition. In her address, Principal Dr. Ajay
Sareen expressed that writing gives an expression to the pent-up emotions and
feelings of the women. She advised the students to use their creative aspects
and writings on the social media thoughtfully and to inspire others. A
successful writer is one whose writing makes the reader feel connected to it.
Being writers we bear a great responsibility to direct the society towards
constructive aspects.
Giving a formal introduction to the conclave Mrs. Sarvinder
Kaur told that the purpose of the event was to acquaint the students with the
field of writing and provide them useful tips and techniques for effective
writing.
Mrs. Preet Inder Dhillon narrated the struggle and
challenges of her life which turned her interest towards writing. She felt that
writing gives relaxation and relief from the mental agonies. Words make the
life worth living and beautiful. Mr. Des Raj Kali elaborated on the depiction
of sociology and philosophy in the folk literature and Gurbani. He said that
our literature and culture is a reflection of the desires and relationships of
the human beings. Mr. Naveen Sharma spoke about various opportunities available
to the writers in the present world. Mrs. Savita Mahendru presented the vote of
thanks and thanked all the dignitaries. The organizers of the event were Mrs.
Binoo Gupta, Dean Student Welfare and Mrs. Rama Sharma, Head MCVP.
