Chandrayan Vipnet Club of
PG Department of Physics celebrated 90th Birth Anniversary of the
Missile Man of India, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. Online Quiz competition and Essay
writing competition was organized on this occasion. Overwhelming response of
students was received from different colleges of North India. About 230 students
participated in online Quiz competition on the topic- “SPACE EXPLORATION” and
about 50 students contributed in essay writing competition on the topics “Contribution of women in space exploration,
Space travel and Life Beyond Earth”. All the participants were given
E-Certificates for participating in these events. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of the department and congratulated all the
members for successful completion of event. She told students about
achievements of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam and also encouraged the students to learn
from his life. She also motivated them to participate actively in more
scientific activities to get more knowledge. She also persuaded the students to
get involved in research and apply their knowledge so as to give their
contribution to take India to newer heights in the field of science and
technology. On this occasion Head of Department Mrs. Saloni Sharma, Mr. Sushil
Kumar and Dr. Simmi were also present.
