The PG Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar, organized a Poster Making Competition under the guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The students presented their perspective by making posters on issues related to literacy, emphasizing education as a cornerstone in building a more sustainable future for all. Through their posters, they insisted on the need to educate more and more people so that the world can begin its journey towards a better future. In this competition, Kritika from BA Sem-VI secured the first position, Mehak of B.Sc. Economics Sem-V stood the second position and Ishpreet Kaur from MA Sem-I bagged third position. In this league, Samya from B.Voc Web Technology and Multimedia Sem-III won the consolation prize. Dr. Shallu Batra Head PG Department of Economics addressed the students to make them realize that literacy is the first prerequisite for learning and plays a vital role in reducing poverty, establishing gender impartiality and promising brilliant growth for the coming future. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of the department for organizing such events for the students. Faculty Mambers Mrs. Chandrika, Mrs. Jyotika Minhas, Ms. Harmanu were present on this occasion. Secretary Ishpreet Kaur, Assistant Secretary Mamta Chingotra and Joint Assistant Secretary Mehak also contributed in this occasion with full enthusiasm.
