The Basant Panchmi Festival was celebrated by Student Council of
Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. Saraswati Pujan was done by the Head
of the institute Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The students of Music
Vocal Department recited Saraswati Vandana. On this occasion Prasadam (Sweet
Yellow Rice) was distributed among the faculty members and staff members of the
college. The teachers and students of Student Council were wearing yellow
clothes and offered flowers to Maa Saraswati. Head of Math Department Mrs.
Gagandeep sang a song on Basant Panchmi. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
said that Dean Student Council Mrs. Urvashi Mishra along with her team
organized this Pujan as per the Indian traditions. Saraswati is the goddess of
Art & Wisdom. We are worshipping her and seeking her blessings for our
future endeavours. On this occasion, members of Teaching and Non-Teaching were
present.
