The pious love of mother was
celebrated euphorically in HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School under the guidance of
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. On this occasion, the Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen feels proud to be a woman and conveyed her heartiest wishes on
Mother’s Day. She said that life doesn’t come in scripted form, so God has
created a Mother to guide us in the zig-zag ways of life and make us prudent to
distinguish between right and wrong. A mother is like the protective armour who
preserves us from all the afflictions of life. She motivated the students to be
the empowered woman and uplift the status of womanhood and always pay due
reverence to mothers. To mark the moment, a card making competition was also
organized in which the students made alluring and exquisite greeting cards
showing their oodles of love towards their mothers. The cards were really a
piece of immense love in which devoted and serene picture of mother was
presented in the various forms like of ravishing flower, an angel, a nurturer,
the best companion and so on. The cards showed the beauty, gratitude and
compassion of the relation of mother and a child. The exhibition of their hand
made cards gained great applause from
everybody. They also expressed their heart warming feelings and emotions for
the Principal and school coordinator for their efforts to make them developed
as thoughtful human beings. The card making competition was judged by the worthy
judges - Mrs. Urvashi Mishra, Dean Student Council, Mrs. Mukti, Head of
Cosmetology Department , Dr. Shailnder, Asst. Prof. In Fine Arts. Around 80
students were participated in it enthusiastically. The first position was
grabbed jointly by Shafreen and Khushi of SSC 2 Commerce, the second position
was attained by Muskan of SSC 2 Commerce snd Zeenat of SSC 2 Arts. Jayshree of
SSC 2 Non Med and Komal Banga of SSC 2 Commerce secured the third position. The
consolation prize was awarded to Muskan Dhadwal of SSC 2 Commerce. The poems
celebrating the love of mother were recited eloquently by Jahanvi and Stuti of
SSC 2 Arts. The school coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal felt elated with the
art work shown by the students and appreciated their creativity. She inspired
them to lend helping hand to their mothers not only on this special day but
throughout their lives. The celebration was graced by the presence of Deans,
Heads of the departments, superintendents and all the faculty members.
