HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School celebrated National Technology Day exuberantly

 





HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec.School celebrated  National Technology Day under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen to mark the  quintessential role of technology that extends to all facets of life. The Chief guest and resource person of the celebration was Prof.  (Dr.) Arun khosla, Head Electronics Department, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology. The event was commenced with the lamp lighting followed by DAV Gaan. The resource person was given a green welcome with planter and the painting prepared by the students. The Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen averred the need to apply scientific knowledge on daily life as technology is the system of practical knowledge and problem solving and it becomes imperative for the young minds to be innovative in their approach. She feels proud to say that DAV is the amalgamation of vedic values along with modernity. She emphasised that technology is always to be used with intelligence and only human beings are endowed with this intelligence. The resource person Dr. Arun Khosla elucidated his talk on Disruptive Technologies which has the potential to change everything. These are mobile internet, artificial intelligence, internet of things, cloud computing, autonomous vehicles,  3- D painting. He talked about design thinking in which design is prepared from the user perspective so art also plays pivotal role in technology. The inquisitive students asked questions which were answered by him satisfactorily. The school coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal emphasized that young talent throbbing with inventive mind is what the need of the hour as the role of technology becomes indispensable in our life. The joy of the joys happened with the release of highly condensed Physics Text book 'A New Approach to Physics' authored by Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal, the coordinator of the school. The book is all comprehensive based on the latest syllabus pertaining to all boards CBSE, PSEB,other state boards and for students preparing for competitive exam. Based on knowledge, understanding and application pattern, exam oriented question are added after each chapter which is highly beneficial for the students. The concepts of physics are made crystal clear to enhance the knowledge of the students. To bring onto surface the sharpness and skills of the students about technology, Power Point Presentation competition was also organized which was judged by the worthy judges- Dr. Jatinder, Head of Bio-Tech Department, and Mr. Gullagong, Associate Professor in Computer Science. Around 15 students participated in it and prepared PPTs on various topics like Artificial intelligence, Virtual reality, Virtual reality in health care, Metaverse, Cryptocurrency Starlink satellite, Robotics and automation, 5GNanotechnology, Internet of things etc. The interactive power point presentations were highly appreciated showing the updated technological advancements. The first position was secured by Namrata of SSC 2 Med and Bhoomi of SSC 2 Med attained the second position. The stage was conducted commendably by Ms. Sukriti. The event was ended with smiles on the faces to cheer the contribution of scientists and engineers in helping India to achieve technological advancements and hope for the remarkable technological progress for posterity to come.
