A gala event Khush-Amdeed 2022 for Resident Scholars of HMV

 




 Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar organized Silver Night "Khush-Amdeed" for the welcome of new entrants in the hostel.  Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal, Coordinator of Resident Scholars welcomed the Chief Guest with green planter. The programme commenced with lighting of the lamp, signifying the light of knowledge and mangal- tilak followed by DAV Gaan. The zeal, talent and enthusiasm was captured in the cultural programmes presented by students in the form of song singing, traditional dance, Bhangra, poem recitation, and western dance . Along with it, the students hailed from 18 states showcased the culture and heritage of different states in choreography which was utterly captivating and became cynosure of the event. The students all dressed up beautifully participated in different rounds of modelling with great gusto and the judgment was given by the worthy judges-Dr. Mamta, Head of English Department, Dr.Jyoti Gogia, Head of Hindi Department, Mrs. Sangeeta Bhandari from Computer Science Department and Mrs. Mukti Arora, Head of Cosmetology Department in which Mandira Joshi was adjudged and crowned as Ms. Fresher while Mehak Manhas and Kashman were given the title of first and second runner up respectively. Additionally, Anamika Sutwas given the title of Ms. Energetic, and Pragati was declared as Ms. Ethnic. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, in her address, welcomed and blessed the students and said that their stay in hostel teaches them many noble behavioural traits like compassion, consideration, adaptability along with excellence in academics. She assured the  new entrants that this institution with its academic resources, experiential learning, and efficient methodology provides the best education which make them polished to deal real life challenges confidently. Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal heartily welcomed the students in hostel- a home away from home in which academic, cultural, and spiritual values are inculcated  to develop the students holistically which ultimately turn them into sound and responsible citizens of the nation. She encouraged the students to do immense hard work to achieve their dreams and do research and higher studies. Kashman, a student of M. Sc(Ist Year) gave a vote of thanks to all at the end of the event. On this occasion, Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur, Mr. Sushil, Mr. Pankaj Jyoti, Mr. Lakhwinder Singh, Mr. Ravi Maini, Hostel wardens, teaching and non- teaching members were also present. The event was concluded with the National Anthem.
