C.V. Raman Science Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
organized DBT Sponsored Science Marathon 2022 under the able guidance of
Principal Prof. Dr (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. More than 300 students of Physics,
Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics departments
participated in events like Scientific Quotation Writing, Quiz Competition,
Scientific Rangoli Making Competition, Extempore Speech Competition, Scientific
Skit and Choreography. Students presented their views on various latest topics
of Science like Private Sector Participation in Space Programs,Black Holes,
Liquid Urea Plant in India, Clean Technologies, Challenges related to Stem Cell
Technology, Genetically Modified Crops, Xenotransplant, Journey of Earth from
then to now etc . Students participated with great interest and enthusiasm. In
Scientific Quotation writing, Yashika Arora got first prize and Nandini got
First Prize in Extempore Speech Competition. Twinkle Sahibpreet and Bhanvi got first prize in Quiz competition. In
Scientific Rangoli making competition, Gagandeep and Anjali got first
prize. Students showed their amazing talent as well as gave their views through
Scientific Skit and Choreography. In Scientific Skit, Team Navreen got first
prize with topic “ Forensic Science and
Justice”. Team Najma bagged first prize in Scientific Choreography with
theme “GM Crops”. Coordinator of the event Dr. Neelam Sharma, Faculty Incharge
Science congratulated all prize winners and participants and thanked to all
events incharges. She informed that main motive of the C.V Raman Science
Society is to create interest and scientific temperament among the students and
to apprise them of latest developments and innovations in science. Stage was
conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated
the initiative of the Science Department and also congratulated the students
for their creative skills, talent and participation in huge number. She also
appreciated the efforts of science faculty members. She gave message to all
students that to achieve goals in life, focus and balance should be the part of
life. Further, she added there should be always zeal of learning in all of us
and research aptitude among all science students. On this occasion Mrs. Saloni
Sharma, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Dr. Jitendar, Mrs. Deepshikha, Dr. Shaveta, Dr. Nitika, Mr.
Sushil Kumar, Mr. Sumit, Mrs.Purnima and
all other members of Science Department were also present. Dr. Seema
Marwaha, Dean Academics presented vote of thanks. She congratulated entire Teaching and Non Teaching Staff, Technical
Team as well as Students for Successful Completion of Event.
