Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya,
Jalandhar ortganizeed a Mega Inter-School Competitions “Yuvan”- The young
talent under the dynamic command of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Mrs. Ajay Sareen. The
magnitude and grandeur of the event is reflected in the fact that more than 600
students from 46 schools in the vicinity of Jalandhar, Batala, Amritsar,
Kartarpur and Kapurthala participated in it. The event was organized to provide
an opportunity to the young talent to exhibit as well as enhance their skills
and confidence. The charming young faces splashed a rainbow of colours and the
campus went vibrant with their enthusiasm. The event commenced with the
traditional lighting of lamp and recital of DAV Anthem. Principal Dr. Ajay
Sareen, Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics and Coordinator School, Dr. Harpreet
Singh, Head of Bio-informatics Department extended green welcome to the Chief
guest of the occasion Dr. Varinder Bhatia Vice Chairman Punjab School Education
Board, Dr. Rajeev Joshi, Deputy District Education Officer, Jalandhar, S.
Baljinder Singh, Ex DSS, S. Sanjiwan Singh Dadwal, National Evaluater, Mr. Rakesh Sharma, Principal Sain Das A.S.
Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar and all the judges of the events. Praising
him as a humble and sensitive person, Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen welcomed Dr.
Varinder Bhatia. She congratulated and lauded the efforts of organization
committee headed by Dr. Seema Marwaha. She averred that the purpose behind this
event is to guide the youth towards their destinations. Every effort of HMV is
focused towards realizing its vision and mission of empowering women and
building a better nation. Equally conscious of its social responsibility, HMV
aims to inculcate moral values in the students and keeps contributing towards
social welfare activities. HMV is an epitome of excellence in every field by
virtue of amalgamating academics with values and traditions with modernity. Addressing
the participants Dr. Varinder Bhatia appreciated them for their capabilities
and also felicitated HMV for the majestic event. He also recognized the efforts
of the institution for promoting skill based courses which is the need of the
hour. He advised the youngsters to choose the career of their interest and not
to make forced choices. He also emphasized that it’s important to learn as well
as unlearn for keep growing. Dr. Rajeev Joshi also appreciated the efforts of
the institution in organizing the event. He remarked that such competitions
prepare the youth for their future. Students should keep working on their
talent for energizing themselves. Students displayed their talents in 7
competitions of Poster Making, Best Out of Waste, Nail Art, Instagram Reel
Making, RJ Hunt, Science Working/Still Models and Idea Pitching. The galaxy of
judges included Ms. Puja Aggarwal from Cambridge International School,
Jalandhar, Ms. Alka Sharma from Nehru Garden School, Mr. Ankush Atthi from MGN
School Jalandhar, Ms. Puja from Nehru Garden School, Ms. Kanchan from Govt.
School Seechewal, Mr. Rahul Bhatia from Govt. Sr. Sec. Smart School Khilchian
Amritsar, Mr. Pawan Kumar from APee Jay College Jalandhar, Ms. Anuradha Gupta
from Seth Hukam Chand School, Jalandhar, Ms. Prabhjot Kaur from Sr. Sec.
Residential School for Meritorious students, Jalandhar, RJ Sandeep from Radio
City, Jalandhar, Ms. Mamta from Shiv Jyoti Public School along with Ms. Meenu
Kohli, Ms. Mukti Arora, Ms. Rama Sharma, Dr. Nitika Kapoor, Dr. Rakhi Mehta and
Dr. Shailendra Kumar from HMV. Jasmine Kaur won 1st position,
Kashish won 2nd prize and Shreshtha stood 3rd in Nail
Art. In Idea Pitching Sehajveer and Manpreet stood 1st, Lakshay
Sharma stood 2nd and Muskaan
and Neelima got 3rd position. In Best Out of Waste Lakhan and Vansh
stood 1st, Avneet and Shubhdeep stood 2nd and Neha and
Vanshika stood 3rd. In Instagram Reel Cambridge Co-Ed School got 1st
Position followed by GSSS Hazara at 2nd and Roop at 3rd
position. In RJ Hunt Komalpreet and Samreen got 1st prize, Samaira
Walia got 2nd prize and Neil Mahajan got 3rd prize. In
Science Model Anmol, Avinash and Anisha got 1st prize, Harman,
Manisha and Ansh got 2nd prize
and Anmol and Jaspreet got 3rd prize. In Poster Making DMS,
Model Town got 1st prize, BSF Senior Secondary School got 2nd
prize and HMV Collegiate School got 3rd prize. All the position
holders were awarded with cash prizes and e-certificates and all the
participants were presented with certificates of appreciation. The vote of
thanks was presented by Dr. Seema Marwaha and the stage was conducted by Dr.
Anjana Bhatia. The event concluded amidst the huge cheers and chants of the
winners.
