Convocation Organized at HMV

tall in the field of education, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidylaya, NAAC A++
accredited institution grandly hosted the 91st Convocation to award
degrees to 941 UG and PG students for the session 2020-21 under the dynamic command
of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The garland of dignitaries was adorned
with Sh. Anil Kumar Rao, IPS (Retd.) Advisor PSGGG, Incharge CM Window Haryana
as Chief Guest, Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud Vice President DAVCMC and Chairman
LC as the Guest of Honour, Philanthropist Sh. Sudhir Sharma as Guest of
Eminence along with Advocate Ashok Pruthi member LC. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen extended a cordial
and green welcome to the distinguished guests and media personnel. The
convocation began with the ceremonial lighting of lamp and recital of DAV
Anthem. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen
offered a formal welcome to the worthy guests and presented a comprehensive
report of the institution highlighting the saga of glory. She declared the Convocation
open and 47 meritorious students were presented with “Roll of Honour” to begin
with. A distinctive feature of the Convocation was the innovative practice of
wearing traditional angavastras in place of gowns prepared by the students
under Earn While Learn Scheme. Holding an illustrious profile and possessing an
indomitable spirit, the Chief Guest of the occasion, Sh. Anil Kumar Rao
presented an emphatic Convocation address. He expressed his delight on
presiding over the Convocation of such a prestigious institution as HMV.
Narrating his life experiences, he emphasized that the bridge that connects
dreams to reality is hard work and determination. He encouraged the degree
holders to achieve their goals along with being good humans. He concluded on
the note of inculcating the ideals of hard work, truth and trust into one’s
personality. He received a standing ovation for his pearls of wisdom. Justice
(Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud also congratulated the students on their red-letter day
and urged them to keep themselves motivated. He told the girls to be inspired
and also become a source of inspiration for others by following the righteous
path. Sh. Sudhir Sharma and Dr. Ashok Pruthi also conveyed their best wishes to
the degree holders. The event also witnessed the release of College e-magazines
namely Sports Zeal and Wellness, Techwatch, The Artist, Science Gravity,
Commerce Insight and Samvad. A short film on Women empowerment directed by
Department of Mass Communication was also released. The students took an oath
to contribute fruitfully to the society. The Convocation was declared closed by
the Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen and there was a spectacular show of cultural
performances. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen presented souvenir to the guests. The
vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Mamta Convocation Co-ordinator. The stage
was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda and Dr. Ashmeen
Kaur. The Advisor of the Convocation was Dr. Seema Marwaha. The Coordinators
were Dr. Mamta and Dr. Shallu Batra. All the Faculty Members, Superintendents
Sh. Pankaj Jyoti, Sh. Lakhwinder Singh, Sh. Ravi Maini, Non-Teaching and
Supporting Staff became a part of the success of the Convocation.
