Vedic Adhyan Society and Mahatma Hans
Raj Samvedna Samiti of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized an
extension lecture dedicated to the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Hans Raj Ji
under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Sh. Udyan Arya, Principal, Guru Virjanand
Gurukul, Kartarpur and Mrs. Amita, Principal S.D. School, Hoshiarpur graced the
occasion as the speakers of the day. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen welcomed the
guests by presenting green planters. Addressing the students Principal Dr.
Sareen highlighted the contributions of Mahatma Hans Raj Ji in the field of
Women Education. She said that HMV is the leading institution promoting women
education and making them empowered under the inspiration of Mahatma Hans Raj
Ji. This has benefitted innumerable girl students who have established their
identities in the society. Principal Udyan Arya paid a homage to Mahatma Hans
Raj Ji and said that we should make good use of time and adopt qualities like
self-discipline and self-restraint. It was only because of Mahatma Ji’s efforts
that the movement of women education gained momentum. Mahatma Ji is an epitome
of simplicity, sacrifice, truthfulness and justice. Principal Mrs. Amita felt proud on visiting
the institution and shared various details related to Mahatma Ji’s life.
Towards the end, Dean Vedic Adhyan Studies, Dr. Mamta presented a vote of
thanks. The stage was conducted by Dr. Jyoti Gogia. The programme was organized
by Dr. Meenu Talwar, Head of Sanskrit Department. Mrs. Pawan Kumari and Dr.
Deepti Dhir from Hindi Department were also present on the occasion.
