Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya,
Jalandhar formed an enthusiastic part of the Walkathon organized by the
District Commission Office, Jalandhar in association with NGO Phulkari under
the dynamic support of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The motive of
this SVEEP initiative is to motivate young voters ahead of the Lok Sabha bypoll
in Jalandhar. Deputy Commissioner Jaspreet Singh, IAS and ADC (D) Varinderpal
Singh Bajwa pledged off the Walkathon from
Guru Gobind Singh Stadium Jalandhar. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen
sensitized the students about their voting rights and exercising it to building
a stronger nation. Red Cross Society Advisor Mrs. Deepshikha told that the
event also aims at spreading awareness regarding prevention of cervical cancer.
NSS volunteers, sports students and Red Cross Volunteers participated in the
Walkathon. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dr. Navneet, Dr. Jyoti Gogia and Mrs. Jyotika
Minhas motivated the students to spread awareness all around.
