The skill departments of Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya conducted a session for the faculty under Faculty
Enrichment Programme. The Resource Person were Dr. Rakhi Mehta, Faculty Head
Skill Course and Head of Design
Department, Mrs. Navroop Kaur, Creative Artist from Pidilite Company and Ms.
Mukti, Head of Cosmetology Department. The day started with the inaugural
session. Dr. Rakhi Mehta explained and discussed the art of printing and
surface ornamentation to the staff members. Various techniques of printing and
ornamentation were discussed in detail. The session became more interesting by
dyeing techniques explained by Mrs. Navroop Kaur. Various dyes, fabrics,
printing posts, fixers were experimented by all staff members and various
artifacts were developed by the staff. The 2nd session was carried
out by Ms. Mukti. She explained various types of makeups and materials used in
Cosmetology world. The staff enjoyed both the sessions. Dr. Rakhi Mehta gave
vote of thanks. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts
of the departments and said that providing training in various fields to the
staff is the need of the hour. It is a tradition in HMV to keep the staff
updated.
