Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized Shakti-Utsav@HMV in the honour
of “Yashasvini: All Women Motorcycle Expedition-2023” in collaboration with
CRPF on 12th October,2023. The Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen welcomed CRPF All Women Motorcycle Expedition outside the Ragini
Auditorium with Military Band. Tilak ceremony was also performed inside the
auditorium. Lightning of the lamp was followed by DAV Gaan. The expedition,
which comprises of 75 bikes driven across 15 states and 2 UTs covering 10000
kms across Sri Nagar, Shillong and Kanyakumari to Ekta Nagar Gujarat, was
welcomed by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. The contingent comprised of DIGP
Sh. Gurshakti Singh Sodhi, Group Center CRPF Jalandhar, DIG Ops./Int Smt. Nitu
D. Bhattacharya, Group Center CRPF Srinagar, Commandant Officer Sh. Jatinder Pal Singh, Group Center
CRPF Jalandhar and all present officers and other ranks of CRPF and Team Leader
of Yashaswani Deputy Commandant Smt Tara Yadav. They were also accompanied by
Commanding officer Col M S Sachdev 2 PB(G) BN NCC Jalandhar and Commanding
officer Wing Cdr Manish Kumar 1 PB Air Squadron NCC Jalandhar.The guests were
honoured with green welcome by Principal
Dr.Sareen. On the occasion, members of the Yashasvini CRPF Women Motorcyclist
planted a tree under the leadership of their Deputy Commandant Smt. Tara Yadav.
It was followed by a brief introduction about Women Motorcycle Expedition. A
documentary on CRPF was also shown to the audience. The students of HMV also
performed cultural items like patriotic song,
cultural dance, nukkadnatak and bhangra. A motivational speech was delivered by
team leader of the expedition Smt. Tara Yadav, CO Col. M. S. Sachdev and CO
Wing Cdr Manish Kumar. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Sareen was presented a
memento by DIGP Sh. Gurshakti Singh Sodhi. Vote of thanks was given by ANO Army Wing Lt. Sonia Mahindru. The stage was conducted by
Dr. Anjana Bhatia. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
