Fifth Day of NSS Camp Organized in HMV

 

The fifth day of NSS Camp was organized under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen in the North’s best institution Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. The day was started with DAV Gaan. Nss adviser Dr. Anjana Bhatia and NSS coordinators Dr. Veena Arora and Ms. Harmanu Paul welcomed the Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Principal Dr. Sareen enlivened NSS volunteers with her formal address. Madam Principal felt gratitude towards volunteers for rendering selfless services to society. Further, she told that HMV is always known for imparting selfless services to society. On this day, volunteers celebrated the last festival of the year Christmas. Volunteers wore red dresses, inflated red balloons, sang Christmas songs, and cut cakes. On this day, volunteers went again the village Gillan where they made the people aware pertaining to the environment protection and also planted the plants of Babool, Jamun, Kadi Pata, and Aleovera. After returning to college, volunteers participated under the campaign of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan” and cleaned various places of the college. Programme coordinators Dr. Veena Arora and Ms. Harmanu Paul told volunteers about the importance of NSS Programme and also discussed about activities to be done in upcoming days. At the end of the day, Dr. Jyoti Gogia delivered a vote of thanks to one and all.
