Under the able guidance of Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Freudian Psychological Society of PG Department
of Psychology of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized a one day workshop on overview of
Clinical Internship. The Resource persons were two budding Psychologist, Ms.
Shreya Dogra and Mrs. Yashika Jain. They were welcomed by Dr. Ashmeen Kaur,
Head of PG Department of Psychology. Ms. Shreya
Dogra started the workshop by giving an introduction of clinical
psychology and importance of clinical psychology. She said that students should
do internship in clinical psychology so that they get practical exposure and
learn how to deal with clients. She also insisted that anyone can be a
Psychologist but not everyone can be a good Psychologist. Then Mrs. Yashika
took over and continued the workshop. She elaborated on the skills of clinical
psychologist. She also told students about the scope of clinical psychology.
She shared about her startup which is called “Together we heal. This is an
online platform where they provide online counseling, workshops and diploma
courses as well. It is an ISO, MSME registered firm. Principal Dr. Sareen appreciated
this initiative and emphasized the
importance of such workshops in today’s time. Stage was conducted by Ms.
Drishti. On this occasion Ms. Shruti, Ms.Nidhi Sharma were also present.
