Eco Vibes Successfully Concluded at HMV

 



Eco Vibes, a dynamic environmental education program, drew to a close on April 6th at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, under the inspiring guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The initiative, organized in collaboration with the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Government of India, aimed to foster environmental awareness among the youth. The second day of Eco Vibes witnessed a series of engaging workshops and exhibitions designed to empower participants with practical knowledge and skills. Workshops such as Hastakaagaz, Green Action, and Eco Preneurs provided hands-on training in paper recycling, vermicomposting, and entrepreneurship in agricultural waste and herbal products respectively. These workshops were facilitated by experts from the Skill Department, Botany Department, and Dr. Anjana Bhatia.Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen congratulated the organizers, including Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics and Advisor, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dean Innovations and Research, Eco Club Coordinator Mr. Sumit Sharma, Convener, as well as all the faculty members, staff, and students for their dedication and efforts in making the event a resounding success. She emphasized the importance of active participation in eco-friendly initiatives and urged students to take responsibility for the well-being of the planet. The competitions held during Eco Vibes were adjudicated by esteemed judges, Architect Meenal Verma, Ms. Ramanpreet, from Green Sparrow NGO, and Mr. Harjit Bawa. Their invaluable insights and contributions were acknowledged and appreciated during the event. The highlight of the closing ceremony was the recognition and awarding of prize winners who demonstrated exceptional talent and commitment to environmental conservation. The Overall Trophy for School Section was lifted by SD School, Jalandhar and in College Section Guru Nanak College of Education, Kapurthala Captured the Overall Trophy.  Eco Vibes stands as a testament to the power of collective action and innovation in addressing environmental challenges. The event not only provided a platform for learning and skill development but also inspired a deeper sense of responsibility towards preserving our planet for future generations.
