The Academic Session
2024-25 commenced on the pious notes of Havan Yajna at Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya, Jalandhar under the dynamic guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen. The inaugural Havan was organized by Vedic Society under Dr. Mamta
and Dr. Meenu Talwar. Everyone joined hands in chanting the holy mantras and
invoking the blessings of the Almighty for the new session. Principal Dr. Ajay
Sareen extended a warm welcome to the new entrants to HMV. Principal Dr. Ajay
Sareen expressed her delight over the numerous awards to the credit of HMV and
she acknowledged the contribution of every HMVian in taking HMV to the apex of
glory. She felicitated the new students on joining the institution and assured
them that the faculty and staff of HMV will help them fulfill their dreams and
achieve their goals. HMV will carve them like diamonds to bring out their luster
and sheen. She also said that HMV is a pioneer institution of DAV and a great
name in the field of education. Dean Academics Dr. Seema Marwaha also extended
best wishes to the students and motivated them to work hard to achieve success.
Continuing with its innovative practices, HMV saw the release of 20th edition
of HMV Vision, the newspaper to be published by HMV. It is a venture of
Mass Communication Department headed by Dr. Rama Sharma. HMV News Vol. 53
edited by Mrs. Ritu Bajaj, Mrs. Lovleen Kaur, Mr. Parminder Singh and Mr.
Ashish Chadha was also released on the occasion. The stage was conducted by Dr.
Anjana Bhatia. The Havan Yajna concluded with the recital of Shanti Path. It
was followed by an orientation programme for the new students. In this session,
students were provided their timetable, ID cards and any other information they
needed.
