Scholarships Orientation Programme and Anti Ragging Awareness Campaign organized at HMV


 

In the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, the Department of Student Welfare organized an orientation programme for scholarships available for the session 2024-25 of UG Sem-I & PG Sem-I of all streams under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The overall incharges of the event were Dean Student Welfare Mrs. Binoo Gupta and Co-Dean Dr. Ravinder Mohan Jindal. The scholarships available for the students were Nikhil Singal Scholarship, HMV Scholarship, GREAT Scholarship, Lions Club Scholarship, Smt. Sham Lal Garg Scholarship, Manav Sehyog Society Scholarship, various Govt. funded scholarships like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Scholarship for SC Students National Scholarship Portal Scholarships & Nishkam Sikh Welfare Council Scholarship. Teachers on orientation duty were incharge of scholarships of Computer, Skilled courses, Humanities, Science and Commerce Dr. Ravinder Jindal, Dr. Rishav, Dr. Mandeep, Dr. Simmi Garg and Dr. Jaspreet Kaur  respectively. They explained the eligibility & documentation requirement and the process of  scholarships funding in detail to the students during orientation prgramme. Dean Student Welfare Mrs. Binoo Gupta told about 473 students of various streams were benefitted by this orientation. They were made aware of Anti Ragging Committee of the college, and also showed the anti ragging awareness films slides. The students took oath of always being Happy and spread happiness around.  They also vowed to create positive environment with positive thoughts and be of help to their peers and seniors. They were also encouraged to join earn while you learn scheme of the college. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen gave her good wishes to the students.  She also emphasized on the need of focusing on academic excellence and assured that needy students would always be helped by Department of Student Welfare. The programme was conducted by Mrs. Binoo Gupta. On this occasion Mr. Ravi Kumar, Dr. Prem Sagar and students Dilpreet, Vibhuti and Robinpreet were also present.
