Under
the guidance of Principal Prof. Mrs Ajay Sareen, the Planning Forum of PG
Department of Economics organised Poster Making and Slogan writing Competition
on the occasion of World Literacy Day. The themes were "Digital
Literacy" and "Financial Literacy”. The students from various
departments prepared posters and slogans depicting importance of
"FINANCIAL LITERACY" and "DIGITAL LITERACY". The Judges for
the competition were Dr. Shailendra and Dr. Shallu Batra. The winners for the
Slogan Writing Competition were Poonam of BSc. Economics Sem I who bagged first
position, Lavanya of BA Sem I, who stood second and Sukhleen Kaur of BA Sem I
was third. Ridhi Thapar of BSc. Economics Sem V, Mehak Jain of BA Sem I, Narmada of BBA Sem I
stood respectively first, second and third in the Poster Making Competition. On
this occasion members of Planning Forum, Hansika Soni (Secretary) and Mauli
Sharma (Joint Secretary) along with Head of Economics department Dr. Shallu
Batra, Mrs. Chandrika, Ms. Jyotika Minhas, Ms. Harmanu, Ms. Marium and Ms.
Shilpa were present. Principal Dr. Ajay
Sareen congratulated the faculty and students. Dr. Shallu Batra, Head of the
Department motivated the students to organise such events to create awareness
amongst students and society.
