Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized
‘Speech Contest’ in collaboration with Leaders & Solutions under the able
guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The event started with the
lighting of the lamp by Principal Dr. Sareen, Mr. PKS Bhardwaj of Buland Bharat
Foundation Chandigarh, S. Nau Nihal Singh of seventeenth generation of Sri Guru
Gobind Singh Ji and other dignitaries. The convener of the event Mr. Mrudul
Sondhi welcomed all the guests and audience. Twenty-six participants from
different societies and educational institutions presented their views on
various problems of the society like environment, agriculture, road safety,
women empowerment, etc. Principal Ajay Sareen in her address to the audience
inspired them to be a good leader in all walks of life. Mr. Jagjit Singh,
former DEO Ropar and Dr. Ashok Sharma encouraged the students to enhance their
skills with hard work. On this event, Fine Arts department of the college
conducted an exhibition of beautiful painting made by college students. In
addition, a book exhibition was also held. The special attraction of this
exhibition was that at the end of the event all the books were distributed
among all the students. The first five winners of the speech contest were
awarded with the amount of Rs. 10,000/- each. Three paintings by Ms. Ankita,
Ms. Preeti & Ms Yangchen also attracted the guests and were awarded with
mementoes. The judges of the event were Mrs. Suman Kalia the chairperson of
Social Group of Institutions, Mr. Amit Kumar, & Pricipal Sandhya Dhawan
Cambridge School Nakodar. The stage was conducted by Dr. Jyoti Gogia. On the
occasion, Mr. Ranjit Arya, vice-president Arya Pradeshik Sabha Punjab, Mr. R.
K. Monga, Dr. Rajesh Bharara, Mr. Prakash Aggarwal, Mr. K. K. Thakur & Mr. Davinder Thakur were also present.
