Commerce Club organized certificate programme of Computerised Accounting “CATPRO"


 

Commerce Club of PG Department of Commerce and Management of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized a certificate programme of 30 hours of duration Computerized Accounting “CATPRO” under the aegis of HMV Skilled Courses Hub from 22nd August, 2024 to  7th November 2024  in collaboration with Ingeniero World Institution, Jalandhar under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen. The resource person of the session was Mr. Rahul Puri. Total 52 students of B.Com and B.Voc participated in this course. The session began with formal welcome of Resource Persons and Green greetings presented by Mrs. Meenu Kohli (Head, PG Department of Commerce and Incharge of course), Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Dean Student welfare (Incharge, Commerce Club and Co-coordinator of course) and told the students that aim behind conducting this course is to provide hands-on experience and foundational knowledge in computerized accounting, focusing on widely-used software, accounting principles gain practical knowledge of accounting aspects with the help of accounting soft wares along with theoretical concepts and motivated them towards digital learning. During the course tenure Mr Rahul Puri briefed the students about course content and. the essential topics and applications, such as accounting principles, financial management, and software utilization. He Guided the students toward various accounting software and provided practical training through CATPRO software and cover various aspect like creation of company, creation of bills, bank entries, bill creation, stock handling and creation of direct and indirect expenses etc.  it is a comprehensive program aimed at equipping participants with essential accounting software skills that has been successfully completed on 7th November 2024. . Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen told that the successful completion of the CATPRO Computerised Accounting Short-Term Course has empowered participants with essential skills in digital accounting, contributing to their career development. Overall, the course achieved its objectives, preparing participants to confidently enter the workforce with valuable computerized accounting skills. Mrs. Navroop (Dean Youth Welfare) appreciated the efforts of the Commerce Club for taking this initiative and congratulated Mrs. Meenu Kohli (Head, PG Department of Commerce and Incharge of course), Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Dean Student Welfare (Incharge, Commerce Club and Co-ordinator of course)  and  Mrs. Anchal Mahajan. (Incharge of Course) along with other faculty members for organising such kind of session for the practical exposure to students.
