Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya,
Jalandhar organized ‘Seven Day NSS Camp: Service and Growth’. The theme of the
fifth day was Promoting Wellness and Skill Development. The volunteers started
the day practicing Yoga. Students pledged to practice Yoga daily. All the
volunteers went to village Gillan and made the villagers aware of wellness with
cleanliness. They went door-to-door to sensitize the villagers. They also
encouraged the villagers to dispose of dry and wet waste separately. On this
day, poetry recitation, story telling, and elocution were also conducted.
Outstanding students were rewarded. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, advisor of NSS, apprised
the volunteers of the importance of cleanliness, the foundation of a developed
nation. The stage was conducted by Dr Jyoti Gogia. On the occasion, Dr. Veena Arora,
Ms Harmanu, Mr. Neeraj Aggarwal and Mrs. Gurpreet Kaur were also present.
