Youth Red Cross Society & Red Ribbon Club of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
organized one day Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with IMA (Indian Medical
Association) under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.
The motto of the event was ‘A Single Drop of Your Blood Could be a Drop of Life
for Someone Else’. Principal Dr. Sareen accorded a warm welcome to all the
guests and inaugurated the camp. Sixty-one students had themselves registered
in this camp. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that blood donation
is a noble cause in the service of humanity.
She motivated the students to come forward for this noble cause. On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurmeet
Lal, IMA President Dr. M. S. Bhutani & Secretary Dr. Pooja, Mr. Abhiskek
from LG company, and Dr. Gurpinder Kaur from Civil Hospital Jalandhar, with her
team members, were also present there. In this blood donation camp, LG Company
extended its cooperation by providing refreshment to the donors. On this
occasion, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, in-charge Red Cross Society Mrs. Deepshikha, in-charge
NSS Dr. Veena Arora, Ms. Harmanu, Dr. Jyoti Gogia and in-charge Red Ribbon Dr.
Deepali were also present. Principal Dr.
Ajay Sareen appreciated faculty and students and encouraged them to donate
blood in future too as one unit of blood can save lives.
