Club of PG Department of Commerce and Management of Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya , Jalandhar organised “COMMERCE ELITE 2025” Inter - class competition
under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen. The event was
started with the Tilak of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen along with the
delegation of 22 students and two faculty members from Nehru Arts & Science
College, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, at Prerna Punj. The event initiated with the
pious kindling of the lamp followed by the recital of DAV Anthem. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen graced
the occasion as the chief guest along with special guests Dr. Malthi and Dr.
Smitha from NASC Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Other dignitaries included Dr. Navroop
(Senior Faculty and Dean Youth Welfare), Mrs. Kuljit Kaur (Dean Holistics), Dr.
Ramnita Saini Sharda, Dr. Rama Sharma (Judge), Mrs. Upma Gupta (Judge), Ms.
Sukriti Sharma (Judge). Green Planters were presented to them as the symbol of
Prosperity and happiness by Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Mrs. Meenu
Kohli (HOD) and Mrs. Binoo Gupta (Incharge, Commerce Club and Co-ordinator of
the event). Mrs. Meenu Kohli (HOD)
addressed the gathering by introducing the Commerce Department and highlighting
its achievements. She said that we focussed on holistic development of students
through workshops, seminars, curricular and co-curricular activities. She also
quoted that participation is more important than winning. Mrs. Binoo Gupta
(Coordinator, Commerce Elite 2025) formally welcomed the guests and the
participants; and told that Commerce Elite is organised to mould the character, shape the career, perfect the
behaviour and excel in educating the younger generations of today for
tomorrow. She told more than 410 students of
the Commerce Department engaged in various competitions of the event comprising
Storytelling, PowerPoint presentations, AD Selfie, Logoli, Poster Making, On
the spot capture the best, The AD Mad show and the Choreography. Various teams
showcased their talent in choreography and ad mad show. The themes of choreography
were NAMO BHARAT, CORRUPTION, INDIA VISION @ 2047, ENVIRONMENT, DIGITAL INDIA,
FARMERS’ SCENARIO, SCAMS, SOCIAL INDIA and POLITICAL SCENARIO. All these were
marvellously choreographed by various teams and all were mesmerised by the
different performances. In between the various items, management games were
organised for the audience by Roshini, Rasika and Kris. The Storytelling
Competition was judged by Mrs. Meenu Kohli, Dr. Seema Khanna and Mrs. Preeti;
Manya Taneja (B.com Sem 2 K1) won First Prize, Harsamriti (B.com Sem 6 K1) won
Second Prize, consolation prize won by Gautmi (B.com Sem 6 K1) and Ashu (B.com
Sem 2 K1). Mrs. Meenu Kundra and Dr. Jaspreet Kaur judged the PowerPoint
Presentations; Khushi Sandhu (B.com Sem 2 K1) won First Prize, Tanisha Sachdeva
(B.Com Sem 4 K1)won Second Prize, consolation prize won by Sukhmanpreet Kaur
(B.com Sem 2 K1) . The AD Selfie Competition was judged by Dr.Kajal Puri, Mrs.
Savita Mahendru and Mrs. Kanika Sharma; Sakshi Vaid (B.com Sem 6 K2) won First Prize, Ashu (B.com
Sem 2 K1) won Second Prize. The Logoli Competition was judged by Dr. Minakshi
Duggal Mehta and Mrs. Anchal Mahajan; Sapna and Chandani (B.com Sem 2 K2);
Gurleen Kaur and Meena (B.Com Sem 2 K1) both the teams won First Prize. Samiksha
Sharma and Mukan (B.Com Sem 2 K1) won Second Prize. In the Poster making Competition, the judges
were Dr. Minakshi Duggal Mehta and Ms. Sukriti Sharma; Manvi Jaswal (B.Com Sem
6 K2) won First Prize, Khyati Saini (B.Voc BFS Sem 2) won second prize and
consolation prizes were won by Prabhnoor (B.com Sem 6 K1) and Pawandeep (B.Com
Sem 2 K1) .The On the spot: Capture The Best Competition judged by Dr. Rama
Sharma and Dr. Jaspreet Kaur; Muskaan (BBA Sem 2) won First Prize, Armaan jit
Kaur (B.Com Sem 2 K1) won Second Prize.
The AD Mad show was judged by Dr. Rama Sharma, Mrs. Shefali Kashyap, Mrs. Upma
Gupta and Ms. Sukriti; Team DayTM students of (BBA Sem 2) won First Prize, Team
Chingari perfume (B.com Sem 4 K1) won Second Prize and third prize won by Team
Kitchen Queen Masala (B.com Sem 4 K2). In the Choreography, the judges were
Mrs. Meenu Kohli, Dr. Seema Khanna and Mrs. Meenu Kundra: the results were team
Corruption (B.com Sem 2 K1) won First prize, team Beware of Scam (B.Voc BFS Sem
2) won second prize and special mention prize won by team Rajnitik naritya (B com Sem 6 K1). Overall winner was B.com Sem 2 K1 and a
special appreciation award was given to the CR of this class Ms. Ashu for the
maximum participation from the class; and to the Incharge of the winning
class Dr. Seema Khanna also. For the
school section competitions, the judges of AD Selfie Contest were Dr. Rama
Sharma, Dr. Kajal Puri and Mrs. Upma Gupta; first prize won by Ridham (+2
commerce) and second prize won by Neha (+2 commerce).The Logoli was Judged by Mrs. Meenu Kundra, Dr. Minakshi
Duggal Mehta, Mrs. Anchal and Mrs. Upma Gupta; second prize won by Arpita and
Sonsakshi (+2 commerce).The judges of Poster Making were Dr. Minakshi
Duggal Mehta and Ms. Sukriti; Sonakshi (+2 commerce) won first prize and Palak
(+1 commerce) won second prize. The Face painting competitions was judged by
Mrs. Shefali Kashyap and Ms. Sukriti Sharma and the results were Riya (+2 Arts)
and Sakshi Badola MA(JMC) Sem 4 won First prize and second prize won by
Manpreet Kaur and Gursift (+2 commerce). On this occasion Principal Prof. Dr.
(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated all for the successful organisation of such a
grand event flawlessly and gave blessings with best wishes to organise such
kind of events in future for the holistic development of students. She said
that the purpose of this event is to provide platform to students to showcase
their capabilities and talent. She also insisted upon acknowledging the hidden
potential of students by providing various opportunities to them that can help
them to groom their personalities. She said that girls of HMV have
outshined in every sphere at National and International level. She also
advised the students to lay stress on dedication and discipline to polish their
talent. Dr. Navroop Kaur along with Mrs. Meenu Kohli, Mrs. Binoo
Gupta, Dr. Smitha and Dr. Malthi handed
over trophies to the winners of various events and gave good wishes to all the
participants. The vote of thanks was presented by Mrs. Kanika Sharma to all
those who contributed in making the event triumphant. The whole event was
Managed and planned effectively by Event Managers Sakshi Vaid, Jugnu, Nazam
Jafri and Mohini Behal. They were decorated with Appreciation awards.
