On the
auspicious occasion of the 202nd Birth Anniversary of the founder of
Arya Samaj, Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati ji, Hans Raj mahila Maha Vidyalaya
paid its obeisance. In the special morning assembly conducted in honour of the
occasion, the students of music department presented a melodious tribute to
Swami ji's teachings. Ms Benika from B.A. Sem-IV, joint secretary of Arya
Yuvati sabha, presented a speech on his contributions in women education. A
yajna was performed under the guidance of Principal Dr (Mrs) Ekta Khosla. In
her address, she highlighted the importance of Swami Ji’s teachings in the
modern context and urged the audience to follow the path he paved for us. She
appreciated the role of Vedic culture in fostering an egalitarian society. She
also said that it was the curiosity of Maharishi that converted Mulshankar into
Maharishi Dayanand. Ms Jahnavi from B.A. Sem-VI, secretary of Arya Yuvati sabha,
presented a speech wherein she highlighted the relevance of Swami Ji’s
teachings in the modern world. Furthermore, Mr Pradhuman and his team from the
Music department recited a soulful bhajan. Dean Vedic Studies Dr Mamta also
addressed the gathering and shed light on Swami Ji’s life and teachings. The
event concluded with recitation of Shanti Path by the head of Sanskrit
department Dr Meenu Talwar. Principal Dr. Khosla appreciated the efforts of
Vedic Adhyayan Samiti, Arya Yuvati Sabha, and Sanskrit Department for
organizing this event. On this occasion, Dean Academics Dr. Seema Marwaha, Superintendent
Office Mr. Ravi Maini, Superintendent Accounts Mr. Pankaj Jyoti and teaching
& Non-teaching staff members were also present.
