Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated
the birth anniversary of Swami Shraddhanand Ji with great enthusiasm under the
able guidance of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla. She extended her greetings to the
students and said that no revolution or transformation happens in a single
day; it requires continuous hard work, dedication, knowledge, values, and
experience. She emphasized that the relationship between a Guru and a disciple
is not merely that of a teacher and a student, but of a guide and a seeker.
Citing the example of Swami Shraddhanand Ji, who regarded Swami Dayanand Ji as
his Guru and carried out numerous social reforms, she encouraged the
students to follow Vedic ideals and work for their own progress as well as for
the upliftment of all. On this occasion, Head of the Sanskrit Department, Dr.
Meenu Talwar, shared her views on the Guru–Shishya tradition. She highlighted
the importance of a Guru in life and discussed the duties of a disciple,
encouraging students to follow the path shown by their teachers and adopt noble
values. She also answered the queries of the students and motivated them to
inculcate virtues in their lives. A Vedic quiz based on the life of Swami
Shraddhanand Ji was also organized. Kumari Jahnavi secured the first position
by answering the maximum number of questions, Kumari Vonika stood second,
and Kumari Savita secured the third position. Prizes were distributed to all
participants. To conclude the event, Dean Vedic Studies, Dr. Mamta, presented
the vote of thanks and encouraged students to participate enthusiastically in
such events. Head of the Hindi Department, Dr. Jyoti Gogia, along with other
faculty members, was also present on the occasion.
