An aura of overwhelming joy and
nostalgia pervaded in the Farewell Function
Udaan 2026 organised for the
students of SSC II at HMV Collegiate Senior Secondary School under the dynamic
guidance of the Principal, Dr. (Mrs.)
Ekta Khosla , and stood as a celebration of cherished memories, shared
journeys, and dreams ready to take flight. The programme commenced with the
traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the soulful rendition
of the DAV Gaan. School Coordinator, Mrs. Arvinder Kaur, extended a warm floral
welcome to the Dean Academics and School Advisor, Dr. Seema Marwaha by
presenting her with a planter and an exquisite crochet bouquet lovingly
prepared by the students of SSC I Arts. The judges for the modelling
competition Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Dean Student Welfare, Dr.
Urvashi, Dean Student Council & Mrs Navneeta, from Fashion Designing
Department were warmly welcomed with green planters by Dr Seema Marwaha and
Mrs. Arvinder Kaur. The formal welcome address was delivered gracefully by Ms.
Sukriti Sharma. The cultural segment showcased the immense talent of the
students through melodious songs and vibrant dance performances. Engaging games
added an element of excitement. The juniors captivated with their spirited
performances, infusing the occasion with colour and vitality. Addressing the
gathering, Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla showered her blessings upon the
outgoing students and expressed her firm belief that the girls of this
pioneering institution would emerge as ambassadors of the values and ethics
imbibed at HMV. She lauded the students’ multifaceted talents nurtured within
the HMV premises, which lend finesse and confidence to their personalities.
Inspiring the students to remain humble and rooted, she wished them success in
all future endeavours. Dr. Seema Marwaha in her address, congratulated the
students and extended her best wishes for their forthcoming board examinations.
She encouraged them to remain focused, work hard with dedication, and achieve
excellence in every sphere of life. She emphasized that school life is not
merely about academics but also about learning values, discipline, and
self-confidence. She also conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to the School
Coordinator, the esteemed judges, faculty members, and the students for their
relentless efforts in transforming dreams into reality. The Head Girl, Ridham shared her enriching journey at the school,
expressing deep gratitude and heartfelt emotions for her alma mater. As a gesture of love and appreciation, students
from all three streams - Humanities, Commerce, and Science presented special
dance performances, flowers, and dedicated songs for the Principal, Advisor,
Coordinator, judges, and teachers. The
title of Miss Farewell HMV Collegiate was proudly awarded to Furleen
Kaur. The title of Miss Farewell 1st Runner-up was secured by Ridham, while
Diksha was declared Miss Farewell 2nd Runner-up. Among the special titles,
Khushi was crowned Miss Artsy Queen, Snehpreet earned the title of Miss Tech
Fairy, and Aman was honoured as Miss Biz Girl. Additionally, Jahnvi was
presented with a Special Appreciation award in recognition of her remarkable
performance. In a symbolic and poignant moment, all dignitaries passed on the
Divya Jyoti, the light of wisdom from the outgoing SSC II students to the SSC I
students, signifying continuity of values and legacy. The programme concluded
with a gracious vote of thanks by Mrs. Arvinder Kaur, School Coordinator. The
event was skilfully anchored by the students of Student Council Ms. Gurleen, Ms. Pahul, Ms. Pragati,
and Ms. Bhagay under the supervision of Ms. Rashmi Sethi, Ms. Sukriti Sharma
& Ms. Charanjeet kaur. The faculty members of college and Collegiate
section graced the event with their presence.
