Vidyalaya organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme under the aegis of its NSS
Unit, in collaboration with Sardar Ajit Singh Foundation, with the objective of
sensitizing students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a
healthy, drug-free lifestyle among the youth. Addressing the students,
Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla urged them to remain mentally strong and emotionally
resilient, emphasizing that inner strength and clarity of mind are essential to
resist the lure of drugs. She encouraged the youth to make responsible choices
and actively contribute towards building a drug-free society. Students
displayed informative posters highlighting the causes, consequences, and social
impact of drugs. Vridhi recited a thought provoking poem on the destructive
consequences of drug abuse, while Khushi expressed her views on drugs as a form
of abuse that shatters lives and futures. Representing Sardar Ajit Singh
Foundation, Ms. Ramanpreet , an alumna of HMV, enlightened the
students about the ill effects of drugs on physical health, mental well-being,
and social life. She motivated the students to remain alert and informed in
order to protect themselves and others from the dangers of substance abuse. Ms.
Binoo Gupta, Incharge of the Alumni Association, described drugs as a curse to
society, stressing that drug abuse destroys not only individuals but also
families and communities, and called for collective efforts to curb this
growing menace.
The programme was efficiently conducted by Dr.

self-control, and collective responsibility in the fight against drug abuse.
