HMV Organised a Value Added Course on Positive Psychology for Stress Management

 

The PG Department of Psychology, in collaboration with the HMV Skilled Course Hub, successfully completed a 30-hour Short Term Value Added Certificate Course titled “Positive Psychology for Stress Management.” The course aimed at equipping students with practical tools to understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviours shape mental well-being. Designed to bridge theory with practice, the course enabled students to explore key concepts of positive psychology through interactive activities, discussions, and real-life examples. Participants gained valuable insights into stress management techniques and developed skills that can be effectively applied in everyday life to foster emotional resilience and a balanced outlook. The successful execution of the programme was made possible under the able leadership and constant encouragement of the Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla. The course was coordinated by Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Coordinator of Short Term Courses, along with Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Head of the PG Department of Psychology and Course Coordinator. Ms. Priya Seth, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology acted as the Resource Person. Her engaging and practical approach was highly appreciated by the students. The course witnessed enthusiastic participation and received overwhelmingly positive feedback. It marked a significant initiative in nurturing a more positive, optimistic, and mentally healthy perspective among students, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to holistic education and well-being.
