Commerce Club of HMV Organized an Inter-Class Competition on Artificial Intelligence


 

Under the benevolent leadership of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla, the Commerce Club of the PG Department of Commerce and Management, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, organized an Inter-Class PowerPoint Presentation Competition on the theme “AI: Transforming Commerce and Management”. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla emphasized that such academic competitions are specifically aimed at enabling students to explore their hidden potential, enhance analytical thinking, and stay aligned with emerging trends in the business world. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from around forty students representing B.Com, BBA, B.Com (Financial Services), B.Voc (BFS), B.Voc (E-Commerce), and M.Com programmes. Participants presented their ideas in an innovative and insightful manner, reflecting a strong understanding of contemporary applications of Artificial Intelligence. The event was adjudged by Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Ms. Meenu Kundra, Dr. Kajal Puri, and Mrs. Savita Mahendru. The presentations highlighted the transformative role of AI in commerce, management, and finance, covering areas such as digital marketing, consumer behavior analysis, investment and portfolio management, supply chain and operations, financial services, auditing, fraud detection, fintech innovations, AI-driven chatbots, CRM, strategic planning, and business intelligence. Emerging themes like AI in human resource management, future job roles, startup innovation, Green AI for sustainability, ethical concerns, and challenges of AI adoption in India were also thoughtfully discussed.
The first prize was awarded to Jhalak Khanna, Manya Taneja, Jaspreet Kaur, and Khushi Gogna from B.Com Semesters II, IV, VI, and M.Com Semester II respectively. The second prize was secured by Gurleen Kaur and Ashu of B.Com Semesters II and IV, and Muskaan Kaushal of BBA Semester IV. All participants were awarded appreciation certificates. Dr. Seema Khanna, Incharge Commerce Club, congratulated the winners and appreciated the dedicated efforts of the organizing team comprising Mrs. Shefali Kashyap and Ms. Ritu (Event Coordinators), Dr. Minakshi Duggal Mehta, Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Ms. Kanika Sharma, Ms. Yaagrika, Mrs. Baljinder Kaur, Mrs. Preeti, and the student team of the Commerce Club. The stage proceedings were efficiently conducted by Km. Tanisha Sachedva, Secretary Commerce Club, and Km. Mohini, Assistant Secretary Commerce Club.
