Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized a Blood
Donation Camp with the objective of promoting social service and humanitarian
values. The camp was jointly conducted by NSS, Red Cross Society, and Red
Ribbon Club in collaboration with Pehal NGO. The medical team from Civil
Hospital, Jalandhar played a vital role in ensuring that the entire blood
donation process was carried out safely and efficiently. The camp witnessed
enthusiastic participation from the students, who actively contributed to this
noble cause with a spirit of service. The students voluntarily donated blood,
showcasing their sense of social responsibility. A total of 20 units of blood
were collected during the camp. The event also helped in creating
awareness among students about the importance of blood donation. Faculty
members including Dr. Mamta, Dr. Sandeep, and Ms. Nandita also donated blood,
inspiring students to take part in such humanitarian activities.
Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla appreciated the efforts of NSS Programme Officer Mrs.
Kuljeet Kaur, Dr. Jyoti Godgia, Ms. Harman, Dr. Deepti, Red Ribbon Club
Incharge Dr. Deepali, Dr. Sandeep, Red Cross Society Incharge Mrs. Pawan
Kumari, and Dr. Vandana for successfully organizing the camp. In her message,
she emphasized that blood donation is a noble service that plays a crucial role
in saving lives and encouraged students to actively participate in such
initiatives in the future. She also acknowledged the contributions of Pehal NGO
team including President Mrs. Harvinder Kaur, Mr. Bageshwar Singh, Chief
Coordinator Mohit Rubal, and Manager Pradeep Kumar, along with the Civil
Hospital team including Dr. Gurvinder and Dr. Gagandeep, and honored them as a
token of appreciation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all the
student donors, faculty members, Civil Hospital team, and Pehal NGO for their
valuable support. The camp served to instil a sense of empathy, service,
and social responsibility among the youth.
