It has added yet another glorious milestone to its illustrious hundred-year journey of academic excellence as 29 of its students were conferred Gold Medals at the Annual Convocation of Guru Nanak Dev University, held on 12 July, 2026. These prestigious honours stand as a fitting tribute to HMV’s rich heritage of excellence and reinforces its enduring tradition of producing university toppers, achievers, and future leaders. The names of the gold medalists include Khushi Kumari, Jaisnoor Kaur, Manchal, Tanya Suri, Neeru Sharma, Ritika, Riya Sharma , Komal, Isha Arora, Sehajdeep Saini, Bhavya Jain, Shweta, Riya Bhasian, Tania Sethi , Amrita , Manpreet Kaur Sana, Smriddhi Jain , Arshdeep Kaur ,Tanishia , Jasleen Kaur Shamli Sharma Jahanvi Mahajan Sujainpreet Kaur , Ramanpreet Kaur , Aditi Sahibpreet Kaur, Rajni Rani, Loveleen Kaur. The medals comes from diverse fields of B.A. (Hons.), B.B.A. , B.Sc. (Information Technology) , B.C.A. , B.Sc. (Biotechnology) , B.Com., B.Design (Multimedia), B.Lib. & Information Science, BPES, M.Sc. (Bioinformatics), M.Sc. (Botany) M.A. (Political Science, M.Sc. (Information Technology) , M.Sc. (Physics) , and M.Sc. (Botany). Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla expressed immense pride over the outstanding achievement and congratulated the medalists for bringing laurels to the institution. She remarked that the conferment of these Gold Medals at the Guru Nanak Dev University Convocation is a defining moment in HMV’s centenary year. She said that these achievements are a combined result of dedication of the students, the efforts of the faculty, and a strong academic ecosystem. Dr. Khosla emphasized that HMV has always believed in transforming potential into excellence by providing quality education, promoting research and innovation, encouraging skill development, and inculcating leadership and social responsibility. She also congratulated the parents and teachers for their invaluable support and guidance and expressed confidence that the medalists would continue to uphold the values of knowledge, integrity, and service, emerging as responsible citizens and leaders who would make meaningful contributions to society.
