Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya (HMV), Jalandhar, once again
upheld its tradition of academic excellence with an outstanding performance in
the Guru Nanak Dev University examinations held in May 2026. Priyanka Sharma, a
student of the Postgraduate Department of Chemistry, secured the First Position
in the University with an impressive CGPA of 8.90 in M.Sc. Chemistry.
Congratulating Priyanka on her remarkable achievement, Principal Dr. (Mrs.)
Ekta Khosla appreciated her dedication, hard work, and academic excellence.
Principal Dr. Khosla stated that such accomplishments bring immense pride to
the institution and motivate other students to strive for excellence. Mrs.
Deepshikha, Head of the Postgraduate Department of Chemistry, congratulated
Priyanka and wished her continued success. She highlighted that the department
offers quality education in Inorganic, Organic, and Physical Chemistry,
supported by well-equipped laboratories that provide practical training in
synthesis, spectroscopy, analytical techniques, and physical-chemical
measurements. On this occasion, Dr. Vandana Thakur, faculty member of the
Department of Chemistry, was also present.
