Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya,
Jalandhar, marked the birth anniversary of Mahatma Anand Swami Ji with deep
reverence, under the able guidance and support of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta
Khosla. On this occasion, over 30 students took part in a poster-making
competition, in which they highlighted the teachings of truth and enlightenment
by inscribing inspiring quotations from the writings of Mahatma Anand Swami Ji.
Lakshmi secured the first position, Nikita took the second, and Kuljeet Kaur
claimed the third. Mansi received a consolation prize. Mansi, Arshiya and Ziya
also shared inspiring thoughts drawn from the life and teachings of Mahatma
Anand Swami Ji. Addressing the students on the occasion, Principal Dr. (Mrs.)
Ekta Khosla said that the life of Mahatma Anand Swami Ji teaches us that true
greatness is measured not by one’s position or prestige, but by the purity of
one’s thoughts, the nobility of one’s actions and one’s contribution to
society. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla added that the main aim of the competition
and the programme was to acquaint students with his values and inspire them to
adopt these principles in their own lives. Congratulating the winners, the
Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla urged all participants to take part enthusiastically
in such activities in the future, learn valuable lessons from them and treat
the occasion as a day of personal resolve to follow the ideals of Mahatma Anand
Swami Ji. Dr. Ekta Khosla also expressed her gratitude to Padam Shri Alankrit, President
of the DAV College Managing Committee; Dr. Punam Suri Ji; the Local Managing
Committee; and the Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upasabha, Punjab, for their
continued guidance and support. Dr. Jyoti Gogia, Incharge of the Vedic Studies
Committee; Dr. Meenu Talwar, Incharge of the Arya Yuvati Sabha; Mrs. Upma
Gupta; and Mrs. Anuradha were also present on the occasion.
