Deptt. of Zoology of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
celebrated National Nutrition Week. A
seminar was delivered on the topic Nutrition in different age groups in women
by Dr. Parul Talwar of Shri Ram Cardiac Centre, Jalandhar which mainly
emphasized on importance of balanced and healthy diet. Poster competition was also organized on
topic Balanced Diet, Malnutrition and Hazards of Junk Food. First position was won by Ms. Gursimran of
B.Sc.III Med., Second and Third position was bagged by Ms. Amrit of B.Sc. Med.
III and Suminder & Kanupriya of B.Sc. III Med. (bracketed Third)
respectively. Consolation prizes were
given to Priyanka, B.Sc.III Med. A quiz
competition was also held on the occasion.
Screening of 9 different teams were done through a written test and 4
teams were selected for final round. The
winner of the quiz team were Santosh B.Sc.III, Kanika B.Sc.II, Jeevanjyoti
B.Sc.I Med. got First position, Second position bagged by Vishaldeep B.Sc.III
Med., Ekta B.Sc.II and Kamakshi B.Sc.I.
First Runners up were Priyanka, Manpreet, Damini of B.Sc.III, II, I Med.
while Sangeet B.Sc.III Med., Ankita B.Sc.II Med., Shallu B.Sc.I Med. got
consolation prize.
A PPT was
presented by Ms. Gursimran of B.Sc.III Med. on Junk Food. Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj
appreciated the efforts of students and congratulated the students and teachers
for the same. On this occasion, Mrs.
Kiranjit Kaur, Head Zoology Deptt., Dr. Seema Marwaha, Gruvinder, Ashu, Avantika,
Mr. Babu Ram, Mr. Amit and Mr. Satish Kumar were also present.
