A seminar was organized by the Department of Mass
Communication and Video Production of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya on Radio
Programming. The resource person for
the seminar was Mr. Prajanay Ahuja, Programming Manager, 92.7 Big FM. The seminar was conducted for the students of
Diploma in Journalism and Media.
During
the session, Mr. Prajanay introduced the students on the working of private
radio stations. He told that shows and
programming differ on the basis of listeners demand and radio industry is
highly professional on catering the listeners need. He briefed them on the history of radio. He also educated them about radio spectrum
bids and how the frequencies are allotted.
The session was very interactive, students asked many questions
regarding show formatting of radio stations.
They also asked their queries about career in radio industry. Mr. Prajanay enlightened them on the skills
of working in as radio professional.
Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj appreciated the efforts of Mass
Communication Deptt. On this occasion
Mrs. Rama Sharma, Head of the MCVP Department and Ms. Chetandeep Kaur were
present.
