A
one day lecture on Punjabi Journalism was held at Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya for the students of Diploma in Journalism and Media by Deptt. of Mass
Communication and Video Production. The
resource person for the lecture was Mr. Shingara Singh Bhullar, Editor Punjabi
Jagran.
Mr. Bhullar educated the students on
the working of the Punjabi newspapers.
He told about his earlier years in journalism, how he established
himself in the field. He told that the
key to success is reading, writing and observation. The students were inspired and motivated
after listening to his personal experiences.
In addition, he educated them about the working of the newspaper
organization. He enlightened about the printing
process, and circulation of the newspapers.
At the end, students asked their queries about careers in regional
journalism.
Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj
expressed her happiness and delight over the exposure provided to the
students. She appreciated the efforts of
the Mass Communication and the Video Production Department. During the lecture Mrs. Rama Sharma, Head of
the Department and Ms. Chetandeep Kaur was also present.
